Raila dances to Diamonds Platnumz’s Yope
The team flew in Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz from South Africa for a surprise performance that invigorated the crowd.
The Wasafi empire founder took to the stage after Raila’s running mate Martha Karua’s speech, starting off with his Baba Lao hit modifying the lyrics to praise Raila Odinga.
Diamond was joined on stage by Raila for a short performance of his Wah hit.
He eventually exited the stage, having performed for less than five minutes before returning after Raila concluded his speech.
Diamond then performed Kanyaga and Yope Remix, with the last song featuring Congo’s Innos’b making the entire Azimio brigade join him on stage.
Diamond, who had now covered his white vest with a black hoodie bearing Raila’s image, slowly danced with the camp.
